Our department is located in the natural sciences campus, near the university hospital (see a map). We have our own library and a collection of casts from hominid fossil specimens, most of which are on public display.

We are teaching undergraduate courses for Biology students, but there are also scientific talks open to the public. Our researchers engage in various activities and frequently appear in the media.

Our research covers a wide spectrum from forensics and work with skeletal material from archaeological excavations to clinical applications. Additional to our research staff, we have a number of graduate students working on their theses.
