Tandem Projects

The Module "Tandem Projects" was established at the CCI to promote translational research in the area of immunodeficiency. A prerequisite for funding in this module is the conception of a common workplan by a basic science oriented and a clinically oriented research group. In a first funding (Nov. 2008 - May 2011) twelve Tandem Projects have been selected. Subsequently, the Translational Research Projects have been established.

  • TP 1: Primary human antibody deficiencies caused by B cell defects
    Warnatz, Salzer, Eibel

  • TP2: Allogeneic stem cell transplantation in CVID: Definition of a clinical subset suitable for allogeneic peripheral stem cell transplantation
    Werner, Finke, Peter

  • TP3: Pathogenesis and diagnosis of familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (FHL)
    Ehl, Aichele, Diefenbach, Schmitt-Gräff

  • TP4: Genetic, immunologic and phenotypic variability of (severe) combined immunodeficiency
    Ehl, Schwarz, Boehm, Fisch

  • TP5: Influence of chronic immunodeficiency on CD8 T cell differentiation after viral infections
    Thimme, Pircher

  • TP6: Function, regulation and induction of regulatory T cells in allogenic stem cell transplant recipients developing GvHD of the lungs
    Müller-Quernheim, Prasse, Finke, Marks

  • TP7: The Role of Extracorporeal Photopheresis in the Treatment of Acute Graft-Versus-Host Disease
    Strahm, Niemeyer, Krenger, Holländer
