Research
"Understand, recognise, treat" - The goal of the CCI research programme is to improve our understanding of the mechanisms of immunodeficiency and on the basis of this to improve the diagnosis and therapy of immunodeficiency diseases. In order to achieve this, all immunodeficiency experts in Freiburg have been brought together within one institution. The two scientific cornerstones of the CCI are 1) basic research in immunology and infectious immunology on the one hand and 2) clinical studies on the other hand. The integration of these two mainstays within one institution will facilitate the transfer of knowledge obtained from basic research into the improvement of patient care.
