Abstracts

The abstracts have been collected by the ECOTROS project group via simple search strategies in Databases such as MEDLINE or CINAHL. The overview is not comprehensive, but interactively increasing by the contributions of the ECOTROS members. Please send abstracts to sebastian.voigt@uniklinik-freiburg.de, if you are missing some of relevant current papers. They will be added.

• Occupational Science
• Reviews of Occupational Therapy Outcome Studies
• Assessments in Occupational Therapy Research and Occupational Science: In European Occupational Therapy Research and Occupational Science, a core-set of outcome measurements would facilitate the accomplishment of outcome studies easy to integrate into meta-analyses. Evidence for the efficiency of occupational health promotion and therapy based on meta-analyses is to be provided, in order to promote the profession in the long run. The pre-requisition for a core-set development are unified evaluation criteria for outcome measurements. The ECOTROS project group aims to set up common European evaluation criteria and therefore developed a first draft of the ECOTROS Assessment Evaluation. This evaluation does not intend to produce a hierarchical list of measurements by rating and quantifying the instruments’ quality. It wishes to provide a comparable information base, in order to facilitate the informed decisions and the selection of appropriate measurements by experienced researchers.
  
  All occupational therapists interested or experienced in the development and application of outcome measurements in research and practice are invited to download the first draft of the ECOTROS Assessment Evaluation.
