Research Group "Experimental Neuropsychology"

In the research group “Experimental Neuropsychology” at the Department of Neurology, we are primarily concerned with investigating the functions of the frontal lobes which represent an important foundation for complex cognitive processes such as planning and problem solving. Our research involves a broad spectrum of methods, besides behavioral experiments and eye-tracking methods, we employ brain imaging techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) as well as brain stimulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).
