Career

We are member of the "Speman Graduate School of Biology and Medicine" (SGBM) (Video), the "Freiburg Instutute for Advanced Studies" (FRIAS) and the "Center for Biological Signalling Studies" (bioss).

Available Positions:

The laboratory of Molecular Dermatology I at the Department of Dermatology, University Medical Center Freiburg, has opening for  highly motivated PhD student. The laboratory of Professor Leena Bruckner-Tuderman (co-director, School of Life Sciences LIFENET in Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies, FRIAS) works on the genetic and molecular basis of human skin diseases and the biological disease mechanisms.

Prof. Bruckner-Tuderman is co-opted in the faculty of biology, University of Freiburg, as a supervisor for PhD thesis.

The Molecular Dermatology Laboratories are constantly looking for highly motivated researchers to join our team (PhD, graduate students, M.D./PhD students).

The group is interested in molecular and functional characterization of normal skin proteins, their molecular pathology and the development of molecular therapies of human genetic skin diseases. The projects deal with basement membranes, skin blistering, epithelial mesenchymal interactions and wound healing.
As a part of a multidisciplinary team you will work in an internationally recognized active research group in a productive environment. The methods used include human molecular genetics, transgenic mouse models, proteomics, cell biology and modern imaging techniques. The research of the laboratory is well funded by the German Research Council, German Ministry for Education and Research and by the European Union.

Highly motivated individuals with interest and experience in Molecular Dermatology should apply
