Many patients seek complementary or alternative treatments that go beyond traditional medicine.
Within the scope of the service package uniklinik plus, we offer a comprehensive consultation as well as a wide range of naturopathic and complementary medicine treatments.
Experienced specialists from our team will determine optimal treatments for you and will then develop a customised programme. The most up to date standards based on conventional medicine as well as naturopathy will be considered when selecting your personal treatment plan. If necessary, and upon request, the treatment will be conducted in cooperation with the University Medical Center's medical specialists.
We specialise in the treatment of cancer patients, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the cardiovascular system, the nervous system, pyschology, immune dysfunction and pain of the musculoskeletal system.
Classical Naturopathic Treatments
Classical naturopathic treatments cover:
Physical Therapy: Consultation regarding the application of baths, water treatments, wet packs,
physiotherapy and massages.
Nutritional Medicine: Consultation regarding diet and fasting which are based on individual clinical
situation.
Phytotherapy: Medicinal plants are applied as teas, supplements or tincture compounds.
Mind/Body Medicine: Instructions for the organisation of life and coping with stress.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a comprehensive medical practice based on the concept that most diseases can be positively influenced. Positive results have been achieved not only for the treatment of pain, allergies, addiction, but also for urinary tract infections.
TCM practices include acupuncture, Chinese breathing gymnastics (Tai Chi Qi Gong), diet consultation, Chinese herbs, cupping and moxibustion.

Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy involves the treatment of diseases usings sparing amounts of medications such that little side effects occur if applied correctly. It is used especially for children and chronically ill patients.

Anthroposophical Medicine (AM)
Anthroposophical Medicine uses herbal, mineral and animal remedies, rhythmic massage, art therapy and therapeutic eurhythmy to treat diseases. Therapy is customised based on individual clinical situation. Upon request, we will also provide biographical work. One of our main research interest is the application is mistletoe therapy for oncological diseases.

Consolidated Programmes
We also offer various consolidated programmes:
Cancer Patients: Consultation regarding complementary and naturopathic treatments (diet planning,
mistletoe and other immune modulation therapies, antioxidants, exercise and mental health programmes). An individual
therapy plan will be established for you.
Duration: 1 - 3 hours, Costs: 150 Euro
Chronic Hepatitis C or B: Patients suffering from chronic Hepatitis C or B infection can receive
consultation regarding complementary and naturopathic treatments (phytotherapy, immune modulations, diet planning and
antioxidants). An individual therapy plan will be established for you.
Duration: approximately 1 hour, Costs: 90 Euro
Prevention of Hay Fever (Allergic Rhinitis): Treatment should be initiated six weeks prior to
exposure to the allergen such as seasonal plant pollen. You will receive six acupuncture treatments and dietary
consultation.
Costs: 270 Euro
Acute Treatment of Hay Fever: The treatment should be initiated at the onset of symptoms.
You will receive a single acupuncture treatment, along with an electro-stimulation treatment and an injection of a
local anaesthetic.
Costs: 50 Euro
Nicotine Withdrawal: You will receive three acupuncture treatments or three homeopathic sessions plus
the necessary homeopathic medications.
Costs: 120 Euro
Kinderwunsch - Fertility: In conjunction with assisted fertility therapy, an
acupuncture treatment before and directly after the embryo transfer can significantly increase, from 26% to 43%, the
probability of successful impregnation.
Costs: 80 Euro
