The risk of breast cancer rises significantly after the age of 40 and early diagnosis confers the best chance for cure. In addition to mammography and the ultrasound examination, the MRI of the female breast (MRIB) represents a proven and accurate imaging study to detect breast cancer. Moreover, it does not require the use of X-rays.
