Environmental hygiene and environmental chemistry

Research activities at the Section for Applied Environmental Research are primarily focused on the behaviour and effects (especially against humans, relevance for drinking water) of chemicals and pharmaceuticals in the environment on the one hand, and on measure to reduce this burden such as sustainable pharmacy and chemistry and on the other.

Hospital ecology

We develop methods to reduce the burden on the environment caused by hospital operations. We assess the economic and ecological impacts of different products and activities.
