The department of Neurology combines comprehensive care of patients with neurological diseases with education & training and clinical and basic neuroscience research. The modern Neurocentre houses all clinical neuroscience disciplines (Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stereotaxy, Neuropathology and Neuroradiology) under one roof, ideal for optimal and patient oriented care.

The campus like - close by location of the excellent basic neuroscientists supports our goal, improved treatment of neurological diseases based on a thorough understanding. Our research focuses on pathophysiology and recovery of function in stroke, on migraine research and neuroimmunology. We also use imaging, electrophysiology and molecular biology to study motor system physiology and pathophysiology as well as neurodegenerative disorders.
