I joined the group in March 2016. I am interested in the neurophysiological underpinnings of non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. During the past two decades the latter have constantly gained in popularity as they promise cognitive enhancement in healthy subjects as well as therapeutical effects in various neurological and behavioural disorders. However, the stimulation-induced processes at the cellular level remain largely unresolved. Thus, I employ MRI techniques in combination with non-invasive brain stimulation, aiming to assess the the neurophysiological stimulation effects.
