Theses

I was born in August 19th, 1988 in Gaziantep, Turkey. In 2006, I entered Bilkent University's Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. In 2009, I started a senior project in the National Magnetic Resonance Research Center (UMRAM) found by Prof. Ergin Atalar. I stayed there until 2013 to receive my Master of Science degree from the same department. In 2013, I moved to Freiburg, Germany to work with Michael Bock. In 2017, I completed my PhD studies and have been working as a scientist as a part of the German Cancer Research Consortium Partner Site Freiburg.

My research focus is Magnetic Resonance Imaging. I am aiming to improve the MRI systems for imaging of ultra-short T2 samples, improve interventional procedures under MRI guidance, understand, simulate and control RF induced heating of implants/devices to enhance MR safety, to develop application-specific hardware e.g., RF coils to increase the efficiency of MRI.   

I am father of Umay (born in 11.12.2017) and husband of Seval Özen.
