Care - research - documentation
Research and clinicalanimal keepers primarily care for animals that are kept for research purposes. This includes the care, feeding, breeding and rearing of animals (mainly small rodents) and the cleaning of animal accommodation. Compliance with rules for the protection of the animals is the top priority here.
The training focuses on learning how to handle and breed genetically modified animals as well as working under the strictest hygienic conditions. This also includes computerized documentation of breeding and experimental procedures. You will also provide technical assistance during examinations and treatments.
