Chemical laboratory technician
Develop - observe - examine
Chemical laboratory technicians test chemical products and processes in laboratories. They also develop mixtures of substances as well as organic and inorganic preparations. When investigating the structures and properties of substances, they carry out photometric content determinations or use chromatographic methods, for example.
They also carry out volumetric, gravimetric and spectroscopic analyses. Sometimes their tasks also include immunological and diagnostic or biotechnical work. They carry out test series and metrological tasks largely independently. They record the test procedures and evaluate them on the computer.
