Student internship (BOGY/BORS/Orientierungspraktikum)
Still not sure what you want to do after leaving school? We will show you exciting opportunities and what awaits you later in the field of training and studies.
Whether you would like to do a voluntary orientation internship during the vacations or a compulsory internship during your time at school. Take a look behind the scenes at the hospital and get to know the clinic. Numerous medical and non-medical areas are open to you.

Pre-study internship / compulsory internship during studies
Would you like to expand your theoretical knowledge from your studies with challenging and demanding practical experience? Or are you still studying human medicine and need a pre-study internship in nursing? We offer you a wide range of internship opportunities in our departments at the University Hospital.
What to expect during your nursing internship: You will usually start your internship together with several interns from different areas. You will receive all the important information at an introductory event in nursing. You will then be accompanied to your area of work. You will be directly integrated into your team and will be able to work independently on various tasks and projects, giving you a direct insight into everyday life at our clinic.
You will have a permanent contact person who will accompany you throughout your internship.
Duration: at least 1 week, maximum three months
We also offer the opportunity for nursing students or nurses with a Bachelor's or Master's degree to complete internships with our nursing experts and Advanced Practice Nurses (APN). In this specialized internship, you will gain in-depth insights into the work of our APNs and can benefit from their expertise.
What you can expect during your internship:
- In an initial interview, we will talk to you about the specific focus and objectives of your internship. You can also carry out your own internship assignment with a research focus.
- Under the guidance of our nursing experts and APNs, you will have the opportunity to participate in complex nursing processes and further develop your skills.
- You will be actively involved in the planning and implementation of nursing interventions and have the opportunity to take part in case-related discussions.
- During the internship, our nursing experts and APNs will be at your side as experienced mentors, offering you professional support and feedback.
- You will have the opportunity to take part in special further education and training courses offered by our nursing experts and APNs.
Duration: The duration of this internship is at least one week and can last a maximum of three months.
