Here the children learn the basic skills of swimming such as breathing, diving and gliding in a playful way and without parents.

Parents are allowed to come along on the first day. On the second day, parents should only be present in an emergency.

This Beginners Plus course is no longer a water familiarization course. In this course, children learn how to move around in the water, do a few strokes and keep themselves afloat through specific exercises. The children are already accustomed to deep water.

The objectives of the Beginners Plus course are a prerequisite for the advanced course. This means that the child can swim or dive 1 - 2m in shallow water without fear and without assistance. In the advanced course, children ideally achieve the seahorse level after the first course and can swim 25m without a swimming aid. They can safely stay afloat, dive and jump from the edge of the pool.

Children between the ages of 4 and 7 who already have the seahorse certificate can learn endurance swimming in this course. Safe swimming in deep water is a prerequisite for learning further swimming techniques. At the end of the course, the children should be able to swim several lanes safely.

Technique course 1 | from 6 years

In this course, children who can safely swim laps without a swimming aid can improve their fitness and technique in the various swimming styles. Children can also take the bronze youth swimming badge here.

Technique course 2 | from 7 years

Safe backstroke and breaststroke swimming is a prerequisite for this course, in which the foundations for crawling are laid and the silver youth swimming badge can be acquired.

Technique course 3 | from 8 years

In this course, the techniques are deepened and the youth swimming badge in gold can be acquired.

• The number of places is limited and demand is very high.
• Please note that if you register your child for a swimming course through the Freiburger Turnverein von 1844 e.V., you agree to the transfer of the required data to the FT(data protection).
• Venue: FT Sportpark, teaching pool, Schwarzwaldstraße 181, 79117, Freiburg.
• The courses take place outside the vacation periods (10 dates / once a week).

Costs

• The cost is 180€ per course.

Please understand that the stated costs may change due to changes at the Freiburger Turnerschaft.

Note: The employer pays 30% of the costs listed for the FT. Employer subsidies to employees represent a non-cash benefit and must therefore be taken into account when calculating your social security contributions and income tax in your pay slip.
