Vacation care 2024 / 2025
We organize a varied programme of vacation care for the children of our employees.
The childcare can be booked on a weekly basis.

In cooperation with the Freiburger Turnerschaft von 1844 e.V. (FT 1844), we offer a challenging and varied vacation program with lots of games, sports and fun.
The vacation care takes place on the grounds of the FT, which is located at Schwarzwaldstr. 181, 79117 Freiburg.
The children can jump on the trampoline, play sports and competitive games, take part in Olympics, roller skate or inline skate, go on a snippet hunt and much more. The facility offers a wide range of possibilities.
Half-day care: 07:30 to 13:00 (without lunch)
Full-day care: 07:30 to 16:15 (incl. lunch) for children aged 5 and over

In cooperation with the Freiburger Turnerschaft von 1844 e.V. (FT 1844), we also offer various camps for children and young people aged 5-14 who are keen on exercise.
At the soccer camps (half or full day), 5-11 year old football enthusiasts are divided into groups according to their age and ability. A varied soccer program is guaranteed in all groups.
The soccer camp is offered in the carnival, Easter, Whitsun, summer and autumn vacations for half and full days.

We offer a pick-up and drop-off service for vacation childcare at Freiburger Turnerschaft von 1844 e.V. (FT).
This service departs at 08:00 from the staff casino in Kilianstraße to the FT in Schwarzwaldstraße.
The service returns to the clinic at 16:30 so that the children can be collected from the staff canteen at around 16:45.
For half-day care, only the pick-up service is possible.
If you require the transport service, please indicate this when registering.
There is a charge of EUR 3.00 per trip for the transport service.
The transport service is booked and invoiced on a weekly basis. Please understand that it is not possible to book or reimburse individual days.
This year, together with other partners, we are once again offering a full-day educational program "Erlebnis Sport Wochen" in Bad Krozingen for the children of our employees aged 6 to 12.
We are supported by the professional partner "Xund ins Leben - Feriencamps für Kinder". The provider "Xund ins Leben" offers a children's holiday program with different focal points. The programme in the Kurpark offers a varied mix of different organized activities as well as free play at times. It is tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children and includes games, fun, sport, creativity, nature and adventure. Two days are planned as water days at the aquarado leisure pool in Bad Krozingen. The on-site coaching team will inform you in good time about any changes to the program, for example due to bad weather.

Costs: Children of the network partners: € 165.-/week or € 145.-/week (siblings)

Surfing and sailing camps for children aged 7 to 17
The youth department of the VWWC in Weisweil offers an annual children's and youth camp on Lake Constance with bus transfer from Freiburg. Sailing and surfing courses, paddling tours, excursions and many other activities are offered. The camp is suitable for children aged 7 - 17 and takes place during the summer vacation from 31.08. to 13.09.2025. Shortened participation is possible.

With the discount code "UKF2025", employees of the University Medical Center Freiburg receive a 5% discount on the participation fees listed above.
