On Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m., the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Freiburg invites you to a reading with psychiatrist and patient Dr. Astrid Freisen in the Gartensaal. She will be reading from her book "Wir fliegen hoch, wir fallen tief" (We fly high, we fall low), in which she talks about how she deals with manic and depressive phases. Prof. Dr. Claus Normann, Section Head at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, will then be available to answer questions about bipolar disorder together with her. Admission is free, registration is not required.

Jazz duo Lipfert & Erchinger on April 10, 2025 at 7 p.m. in the Gartensaal

Expressive improvisation, unconventional chords and rhythms as well as integrated samples and acoustic instruments - the music of the jazz duo Lipfert & Erchinger goes beyond jazz. On Thursday, April 10, 2025, Sarah Lipfert and Andreas Erchinger will be telling their stories with piano and vocals at 7 p.m. in the Gartensaal in the West Garden Wing of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Freiburg. On Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 6 pm, the Freiburg Student Orchestra invites you to a benefit concert in the Church of St. Joseph in Breisacher Straße in Freiburg. The 30-piece orchestra will perform Sergei Prokofiev's musical fairy tale "Peter and the Wolf" accompanied by a narrator. The well-known piece of music is not only exciting, but also educational: the instruments of the orchestra are gradually introduced in a playful way. All donations collected will go to the "Tigerherz ... wenn Eltern Krebs haben" (Tiger Heart ... when parents have cancer) program of the Tumor Center Freiburg - CCCF at the Freiburg University Medical Center.
