From 1965 to 1972, Aiga Müller studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe under Horst Antes and Jügen Goetz. In 1971, she was a master student of Peter Dreher at the Karlsruhe Academy's branch in Freiburg. Between 1973 and 1974 she was awarded a DAAD scholarship for the Royal Collage of Arts in London. In 1989 she received a working scholarship from the Senator for Cultural Affairs in Berlin. Her work encompasses painting as well as sculpture, including the group of "Scherbenobjekte", sculptural portraits and objects with mosaic-like surfaces made of ceramic remnants, porcelain buttons or shells. In Freiburg, Aiga Müller created a mural on the "Sonne" building in the Freiburg Children's Hospital in 1987.
