Collective exhibition on the theme of summer
On Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. , an exhibition on the theme of summer with works by Sabine Brand-Scheffel, Ulrike Gerst, Eva Rosenstiel and Elisa Stützle-Siegsmund will open at the University Heart Center Freiburg ∙ Bad Krozingen (Südring 15, Bad Krozingen, attic floor). The collective exhibition features seasonally selected paintings and objects by the four artists.
Elisa Stützle-Siegsmund from Müllheim is showing large-format vase-like objects formed from different types of earth. She works with clay, ochre and loess and fuses them together in the working process. Ash and iron create attractive structures and symbolic areas on the surface.
Sabine Brand-Scheffel from Karlsruhe studied under the Mannheim painter and graphic artist Professor Peter Dreher at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe and Freiburg. Her paintings walk a fine line between perception and imagination. The painter draws on the rich abundance of the visible world as well as her own inner feelings to create her pictures.
Eva Rosenstiel from Freiburg also studied under Professor Peter Dreher and works with photography, printing, drawing and painting. In the working process, she dissolves the boundary between reality and abstraction through repeated reworking. Photographic and painterly techniques appear side by side.
For Ulrike Gerst from Freiburg, light, shadow and reflections are central themes in her work. Her serial works are preceded by photographs, which become the basis for oil paintings and watercolors in the studio.
The exhibition can be viewed from Monday, July 15, 2019 to Friday, September 13, 2019 from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm in the University Heart Center, Bad Krozingen site (attic floor).
