Marie Dréa
August 12 to October 3, 2011: Marie Dréa, works on paperAs in a ballet, one would like to dance with the ciphers, or understand the pattern as the choreography of this very ballet.
Chemins de l'être - the paths of being - are a varied series of works in which things scurry and crawl. Animals? People? Or are they microorganisms? There are no limits to the imagination.
The assumption that the artist was inspired by Far Eastern calligraphy is justified. She sees her "grammar of signs" as a "western variation" of Japanese and Chinese calligraphy.
