On Sunday, January 29, 2017, the exhibition by Anja Kniebühler and Richard Schindler will open at 11.00 a.m. at the University Heart Center Freiburg ∙ Bad Krozingen (Südring 15, Bad Krozingen, attic floor). Works on paper and "souvenirs" are on display in the showcases in the entrance hall of the University Heart Center. Dr. Annette Hoffmann will give an introduction.

Freiburg-based artist Anja Kniebühler studied at the Karlsruhe Art Academy as a master student of Prof. Max Kaminski. Her works on paper, presented as installations, move between object and drawing: engraved dots, strokes painted with ink and surfaces painted with oil paint develop an expanded image of forms. Depending on the incidence of light, the works on paper transform from a graphic image into a physical one, into a different pictorial space.

Richard Schindler alienates the display cases in the entrance area of the University Heart Center. He wraps them in cardboard sheets, creating boxes in which he presents "souvenirs". He places artistic exhibits and small gifts from friends in a new context. Richard Schindler is a visual artist, author of texts on art and director of the Institute for Visual Profiling. He was a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg and has taught at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Basel and Furtwangen University, among others.

The exhibition can be viewed from Monday, January 30, 2017, to Friday, March 10, 2017, on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the University Heart Center, Bad Krozingen site (attic floor).
