March 26 to May 11, 2007: Sculpture

Corpus IV, 2006

Axes, swivel joints and sliding elements represent the interfaces of the sculptural dynamics. Outgrowth, spreading or stretching determine the formal composition. One is tempted to set the wooden combinations in motion in order to discover how the sculptor, who incidentally likes to call himself a "woodcutter", has taken the forms from the block of wood.

Batiment II, 2006

Penetrating, opening up or moving out? The combination is conceivable as a compact block that shows off its inner workings.

After a welcoming address by Dr. Hans-Peter Bestehorn (right), Ms. Regine Kemmerich-Lortzing gave an introduction to the work.

Further sculptures can be seen in the display cases in the entrance area. Middle display case: Head VIII, 2007 and Head IX, 2007
