January 22 to March 5, 2006: Painting

Vernissage on the Attika floor on Sunday, January 22, 2006.

Mr. Sahner from the Heart Center will give a welcoming speech. Ulrike Straube will give the introduction.

The artist, who already had an exhibition at the Heart Center 10 years ago, is now presenting her latest works.

These are mainly vedute and landscapes, whose peculiar coloration is striking. The fleeting but strikingly applied brushstrokes create an atmospheric light.

The reduced coloration gives the picture more color. A contradiction? Hardly, rather a preferred artistic means that contributes to the intense mood of the pictures.

In passing, mixed media, 70x90 cm, 2005

"... you can't get the brushstroke nimble enough on the canvas, nature changes so quickly!" (Eduard Manet to Claude Monet).
The artist's motto.

Backyard fog painting, mixed media, 70x90 cm, 2005

Clouds and fog drift past the buildings. Sometimes they appear as if chiseled out - sometimes veiled and mysterious.

On the train. The landscape flies past you. The distance - recognizable down to the last detail. The proximity - like an impressionistic backdrop.
