June 25 to August 17, 2012: Drawing

View of the attic corridor

You have to let the picture-architecture scenario take effect on you. The strict, architecturally predetermined symmetry of the architecture is set in motion by the pictorial compositions.

The paintings from 2010 to 2012 on display on the attic floor belong to a particular creative phase. The bundles of lines drawn with a ruler seem to drift in different directions, threaten to collide with each other or navigate out of the picture. The many tick marks are striking - are they navigation instruments that indicate a certain direction?

While the pictures are being walked through, one can observe something like a "birth of the modules", which are used in a variety of ways in each picture. This creates a stage on which one can follow the choreography of the line ballet.
