Our aim is to provide patients with the best possible treatment. Our commitment to research goes hand in hand with this goal. We rely on the close integration of basic biomedical sciences, clinical research and patient care in order to quickly and responsibly translate findings into innovative therapies. At the same time, we utilize the opportunities offered by our diverse university and non-university research landscape in Freiburg. For example, we work closely with the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics.

We transcend the boundaries of the natural sciences and engineering, as we see this interdisciplinary and inter-institutional exchange as our future opportunity to shape medical progress.
