The university hospitals of the state of Baden-Württemberg are independent institutions under public law of the respective universities. The state's Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts is responsible for legal supervision, while the Supervisory Board is responsible for technical supervision.

Bodies of the University Hospital

The Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors form the management of the University Hospital. The members of the Executive Board of the University Hospital are appointed by the Supervisory Board. The Executive Board manages the day-to-day business. The Supervisory Board monitors and advises it.
