The Department of Dermatology and Venereology (Skin Clinic) of the University Medical Center Freiburg and the Tumor Center Freiburg - CCCF of the University Medical Center Freiburg jointly invite you to the

"Sun & Skin" campaign day on 
Saturday, July 7, 2018, 
from 8 am to 12 noon 
at the University Dermatology Clinic, 
Hauptstraße 7, Freiburg.

Employees of the Tumor Center Freiburg - CCCF will provide information about the dangerous skin cancer disease. They will answer questions, provide information on individual risk and tips on how to protect yourself. The head of the Skin Tumor Center at the University Medical Center Freiburg, senior physician Dr. Frank Meiß, will give a lecture on the topic of "Skin Cancer" at 10 am. The Freiburg Skin Cancer Self-Help Group (SHG) will also be on site.

Doctors from the University Skin Clinic will offer a free skin cancer check on site and examine suspicious moles and pigment spots to determine whether they could develop into skin cancer. Interested parties must register for the free skin examination on the day of the event from 8 am to 12 noon. The examination looks specifically for the three skin cancers basal cell carcinoma, spinocellular carcinoma and malignant melanoma ("black skin cancer") as well as their precursors. The cafeteria in the neighboring Center for Mental Illnesses at the University Medical Center Freiburg will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make any waiting times for skin examinations more pleasant.

There is no charge for attending the event.
