Children's book author Sabrina J. Kirschner reads on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the Cochlear Implant Center Freiburg at the University Medical Center Freiburg

Attention bookworms! The children's book author Sabrina J. Kirschner will be a guest at the Cochlear Implant Center Freiburg (Elsässerstraße 2n, House IV, seminar room on the second floor) of the University Medical Center Freiburg on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 4 p.m. as part of the Lirum Larum Reading Festival and will be reading from her works. With her reading, the author is supporting the "Deaf Children Learn to Hear" association, while Carlsen Verlag is donating the books. Children aged between eight and ten are cordially invited to listen to the stories of the Freiburg-born author. Admission is free.

Kirschner initially worked as a children's book editor before devoting herself entirely to writing exciting children's books. The author published her debut "Botzblitz - ein Opa für alle Fälle" in 2016, which was nominated for numerous children's book awards. Five parts of the adventure series "Die unlangweiligste Schule der Welt" have since been published. The double novel "Two Hearts" has been in bookshops since this summer for readers who love riding.

The charity "Deaf children learn to hear" supports the medical and therapeutic care of deaf children. Every day, one or two children are born in Germany who cannot hear. Most of them learn to hear with the help of a cochlear implant and thus also to speak. The association "Deaf children learn to hear" informs the public and raises money for research, technical development and equipment for the Cochlear Implant Center Freiburg at the University Medical Center Freiburg.
