Emergency care secured despite warning strikes

On Monday, November 4, 2019, ver.di has called on the employees of the University Medical Center Freiburg to take part in an all-day warning strike. An emergency service agreement has been concluded between the union and the University Medical Center Freiburg, which ensures that no patients are harmed. It has also been ensured that all emergency medical interventions, intensive care and urgent operations can take place. This also applies to obstetric care. However, patients should be prepared for longer waiting times during the strike period. If possible, patients should switch to other emergency departments on Monday. If planned surgery appointments cannot take place, the University Hospital will inform the affected patients directly in good time.
