From December 1, 2019, the Kandern-based artist Insa Hoffmann will be exhibiting in the gallery at the Children's Hospital of the University Medical Center Freiburg / Midissage on January 26, 2020

From Sunday, December 1, 2019 to Thursday, February 27, 2020, paintings by Insa Hoffmann, an artist from Kandern in the southern Black Forest, will be on display in the gallery in the Children's Clinic at the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the University Medical Center Freiburg. Anyone interested is cordially invited to the midi opening on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 11 a.m.

In Insa Hoffmann's paintings, the simultaneity of figurative and abstract works is striking. The visible world is rich in formal contrasts and formal relationships that inspire her to paint abstractly, she says. In her painterly exploration of the nature of things, she is concerned with remaining open to the unforeseen and current that arises from the process itself, despite remaining faithful to observation.

Landscape painting, on the other hand, is something like a safe haven and abstraction is a departure into the unknown. Her works are based on photographs, which inspire her to use form and color in abstract painting. For the pictures that can be classified as representational painting, her photographs serve as a direct reference and reminder.

The gallery in the Children's Hospital is located in the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the University Medical Center Freiburg, Feldberg House, entrance Heilig-Geist-Str. 1, Freiburg.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm.
