Addendum to the press release "A clear stance against sexualized harassment in the workplace" issued by the Baden-Württemberg university hospitals on 21 January 2025

Baden-Württemberg's university hospitals are taking a clear stance against sexualized harassment with postcards and other campaigns

Prof. Dr. Frederik Wenz, Chief Medical Director of the University Medical Center Freiburg, comments on the joint campaign of the university hospitals in Baden-Württemberg against sexual harassment in the workplace: "As an employer, we have a special responsibility to ensure a safe and respectful environment for our employees and patients. As part of the current campaign 'A clear stance against sexualized harassment', we are therefore raising awareness of transgressive behaviour, taking a firm stance against such behaviour and expanding our support services for those affected in a targeted manner. At the University Medical Center Freiburg, an interdisciplinary working group is also currently working on expanding the action plan."

Angelika Zimmer, Equal Opportunities Officer at the University Medical Center Freiburg, adds: "Those affected by sexualized harassment are entitled to our full support. With low-threshold offers of help and clear messages, we want to send them a signal: You are not alone. This campaign sends out a clear signal of our joint commitment to combating sexual harassment and transgressive behavior. It makes it clear that we not only listen to those affected, but also actively support them and ensure that perpetrators are consistently held accountable."
