Focus: glaucoma and cataracts, macular degeneration
"Many eye diseases can be prevented or their progression significantly slowed down if something is done early on. That's why we want to make people aware of the importance of looking after their eye health and show them the possibilities of prevention," says Prof. Dr. Thomas Reinhard, Medical Director of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Freiburg University Medical Center.
At the event, experts from the Department of Ophthalmology will discuss the detection and treatment of common diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular agenesis, as well as what treatment options are available and what preventative measures can be taken.
