On October 2, 2025, the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg invites you to a jazz concert

Jazz singer Lindsey Blount will be performing with her band at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg on Thursday, October 2, 2025at 7 pm. The concert will take place in the Gartensaal of the Gartenflügel West, Hauptstraße 5 in Freiburg. Admission is free, registration is not required.

"With our cultural series "In the Garden Hall", we are deliberately opening the clinic to the outside world. Art and culture thus become part of a lively dialog with patients, relatives and the public," says Prof. Dr. Dr. Katharina Domschke, Medical Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.

Jazz with soul and an international signature

The singer Lindsey Blount, who trained in the USA, now lives in Germany and works internationally as an artist and lecturer. Together with the Freiburg musicians Bernd Harter (piano), Freddy Höhn (saxophone, percussion), Jürgen Maurer (drums), Jan Schlotthaus (guitar) and Phillipe Wozniak (bass), she performs her own songs and reinterpretations of artists such as Katie Melua, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell and Tina Turner - in a style somewhere between jazz, soul and pop.
