Clinical semesters
As part of the curriculum of the Center for Medicine, we participate in the following courses:
- Main lecture in internal medicine: gastroenterology, hepatology, endocrinology and infectiology
- Block internship in internal medicine with accompanying seminars on gastroenterology, hepatology, endocrinology and infectiology
- Pathophysiology lecture, "case of the week" and polyclinic lecture
- Cross-sectional area 12, naturopathy, physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine
Clinical traineeship
We are happy to offer you an insight into our exciting specialist field as part of a clinical traineeship! In order to be able to offer you individual support, please contact Dr. Ulrike Eckert in good time.
Practical year
As part of the practical year, you will gain experience in regular clinical work as part of the medical team and actively participate in patient care. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the various endoscopic working techniques (e.g. gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP). You will also benefit from numerous special PJ teaching events, such as clinical teaching rounds, PJ seminars and "hands-on" seminars on important procedures.
Promotion
In addition to providing our patients with the best possible medical and human care, we attach great importance to the scientific excellence of our clinic. We are happy to offer motivated and interested medical and biology students the opportunity to carry out experimental doctoral research in our laboratories. Our research pages provide an overview of the various focal points of our working groups. For example, you can benefit from the MOTI-VATE program, the doctoral college of the Faculty of Medicine Freiburg.
