With more than 15,000 employees, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is one of the largest university hospitals in Germany. Around 2,000 physicians and more than 4,600 nurses care for around 90,000 inpatients and around 1,060,000 outpatient visits per year.

In its original mission, the University Hospital combines research, teaching and patient care, always with the aim of offering patients treatment based on the latest scientific findings today and in the future.
