University Medicine in practice: The Freiburg Breast Center has moved
The Medical Care Center (MVZ) of the University Breast Center Freiburg has moved from Freiburg's Münsterplatz to the extension of the Hotel Stadt Freiburg at Breisacher Straße 86b
"Our practice works at university level," says Dr. Thalia Erbes, Medical Director of the MVZ Breast Center Freiburg. In close cooperation with the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, the certified breast center offers the entire spectrum of screening, early detection, diagnostics and therapy for all breast diseases. "Our close proximity to the University Hospital ensures that the latest research findings and methods are always taken into account in examinations and treatments," says Dr. Erbes.
Another special feature of the Freiburg Breast Center is that the findings are discussed with the patients immediately after the examination. Personal contact with a contact person from diagnosis to treatment and aftercare is also a hallmark of the Breast Center.
The MVZ Brustzentrum Freiburg is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg with a highly specialized team of doctors. Around 8,000 patients are treated every year. The networking with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the other cooperation partners within the university breast center as well as the proximity to the hospital grounds make synergy effects possible. For example, an MRI machine has been rented in the Radiology Clinic's sectional imaging center.
