The Teddy Bear Hospital from May 21 to 25 in the park of the Freiburg University Medical Center aims to introduce children to visits to the doctor and impart medical knowledge in a playful way / Registration for groups is now open

Teddy is ill? He can get help here: At the 16th Freiburg Teddy Bear Hospital from Tuesday, May 21 to Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the park of the Freiburg University Medical Center (Hugstetter Str. 55) , children between the ages of three and six can have their cuddly toys professionally cared for. The non-profit project run by Freiburg medical students in cooperation with the dental and pharmacy student councils aims to introduce children to visits to the doctor and medical treatment and thus strengthen their trust in medical staff and hospitals. Trained students, the so-called Teddy-Docs, examine and treat sick and injured cuddly toys from head to toe.

From Tuesday to Friday , the doors are open from 9 am to 4 pm. On Saturday, Family Day, the stuffed patients are treated from 9 am to 2 pm. A visit to the Teddy Bear Hospital is free of charge and lasts around two hours.

Kindergarten groups and other groups of five or more children are welcome from Tuesday to Friday by prior arrangement . Registration is now possible via the contact form at www.tbk.ofamed.de. Please state the size of the group, the desired time and the name of the kindergarten. You should allow about two hours for the visit. Registration is only valid after confirmation. 
Families and groups of up to five children can visit without prior registration. To minimize waiting times, we recommend a visit during the week from 1 pm or on Family Day.
