The transnational orchestra at Theater Freiburg will be playing in the Lutherkirche on Saturday, November 9, 2019 for the benefit of the social fund of the University Medical Center Freiburg

Ten years ago, the Social Fund of the University Medical Center Freiburg was set up for patients with financial difficulties. It helps people quickly and unbureaucratically who find themselves in an emergency situation due to illness or hospitalization. The fund is financed by donations. "With small amounts of money, we can provide people on low incomes with things they take for granted, such as a bathrobe, a tracksuit or a travel allowance," says Katrin Wagner, Head of Social Services at the University Medical Center Freiburg. On Saturday, November 9, 2019, the Heim und Fluchtorchester - Transnationales Orchester am Theater Freiburg, conducted by Ro Kuijpers, will perform a benefit concert in the Lutherkirche on Friedrich-Ebert-Platzat 7 p.m. for the benefit of the Social Fund of the University Medical Center Freiburg.

Admission is free. Donations are requested.

The Heim und Fluchtorchester was founded in 2012 as a transnational orchestra at the Theater Freiburg. It brings together young people from different cultures to create new music together from the pool of ideas they bring with them. The concerts are a lively, colorful mix of oriental sounds, Balkan beats, African singing, hot percussion rhythms and western string sounds.
