In December, the Blood Donation Center at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg thanks donors with a mulled wine package to take home with them

Many things are different this year. But as always, people with cancer, after serious accidents or during major operations still need blood products. This is why blood donors continue to save lives and are urgently needed. As a small thank you, the Blood Donor Center at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is giving all blood donors an organic mulled wine spice mix to enjoy at home in December.

Use the appointment donation

Anyone wishing to donate can book an appointment online at www.blutspende-uniklinik.de. First-time donors can also register there and then take part in the appointment allocation process. Spontaneous donations are also possible until further notice. For shorter waiting times, the donor questionnaire can be filled out at home and brought along. The information film required for a first-time donation is also available online. To ensure that there are not too many donors on the premises at the same time, there is an admission control on site, which may result in waiting times even with an appointment.

An identity card and, if possible, a vaccination certificate are required for every blood donation. Donors must be between 18 and 68 years old (first-time donors up to 60 years old). Men can donate blood every 8 weeks, women every 12 weeks.

Wednesday and Thursday |12 pm to 7 pm
Friday and Saturday |8 am to 1 pm
