Medical Center - University of Freiburg participates in worldwide campaign
On Sunday, February 28, 2021 , the outdoor area of the Departments of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Otorhinolaryngology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg shone bright and colorful. The occasion was Rare Disease Day. The day and the light installation are intended to draw attention to the approximately four million people in Germany who are affected by a rare disease. Many of them are children. A disease is considered rare if it occurs in fewer than five in 10,000 people. The Freiburg Center for Rare Diseases (FZSE) brings together clinics and specialist departments at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg to help people with rare diseases.
