Instead of gifts: generous donation to Tigerherz

Kramer GmbH Ladenbau from Umkirch has donated 2,500 euros to support the "Tigerherz ... wenn Eltern Krebs haben" (Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer) service offered by the Psychosocial Cancer Counseling Service at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg - CCCF of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
With its donation, Kramer Ladenbau is helping to continue funding the important work of Tigerherz: "Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we didn't give any gifts to customers or business partners last Christmas. We have now donated the money earmarked for this to Tigerherz," explains Robert Mastrocola, unit management at the company.
The "Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer" offer
"Tigerheart ... when parents have cancer" is aimed at families in which one parent has cancer. The aim is to help the whole family by prioritizing the needs of the children in this difficult situation.
The children and young people are worked with individually or in groups, often creatively with different materials. There is room for feelings and fears are addressed, but fun and laughter are also included. An extensive vacation program enables the "Tigerherz" children to have wonderful experiences in the group. The "Tigerherz" counseling program is aimed at parents, grandparents, professionals and interested people. All services are free of charge and are financed exclusively by donations.
