Training center for endoscopic procedures
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg has been certified as a training center by the Gynecological Endoscopy Working Group
Whether for fertility, incontinence or cancer treatment, many gynecological procedures are now performed using minimally invasive techniques. However, physicians can only achieve the best results for patients if they have received comprehensive training. External experts from the Working Group for Gynecological Endoscopy (AGE) of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics have now confirmed that the training concept at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is excellent. This makes the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology the only clinic in South Baden to be certified as a training center for gynecological endoscopy.

Our patients benefit from gentle and effective interventions and our physicians always stay up-to-date," says Prof. Dr. Ingolf Juhasz-Böss, Medical Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of University Freiburg. The clinic and trainers must meet numerous qualifications to be certified. These include regularly audited training courses, extensive experience of the trainers and a sufficiently large number of minimally invasive procedures. By participating in national and international research projects on minimally invasive care, the requirements of the AGE in the area of research are also more than fulfilled.
