The Obesity Center of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg has been located at the new Bad Krozingen campus since April

Since Thursday, April 1, the Section for Obesity and Metabolic Surgery of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg has been located in new and larger premises at the Bad Krozingen campus. "We can now expand our capacities for consultations and operations," says Section Head Prof. Dr. Goran Marjanovic. Every year, Marjanovic and his team treat over 250 patients with obesity using minimally invasive surgical techniques - and the trend is rising sharply. "The enlargement makes stable and reliable surgical planning much easier," explains Marjanovic. It also shortens the waiting time for a surgery appointment for patients.

During their inpatient stay, patients are accommodated in spacious rooms that meet the special requirements of obesity. Marjanovic sees a further advantage in the special atmosphere at the Bad Krozingen campus: "The rooms are superbly equipped and offer our patients a quiet environment for a speedy recovery after the operation." Special radiological examinations and gastroscopies are still carried out in Freiburg.

Consultation hours take place Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 4 pm in the surgical outpatient clinic at the Bad Krozingen campus, Südring 15 in Bad Krozingen.
