Online lecture: "Endometriosis - what is it and what can you do about it?"
On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, the next lecture of the online event series "Knowledge helps" of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will take place
Severe abdominal and menstrual pain, pain during or after sexual intercourse or an unfulfilled desire to have children can be signs of endometriosis. In this very common abdominal disease in women, tissue that resembles the lining of the uterus settles in the abdominal cavity or in the muscles of the uterine wall. Depending on the affected area in the abdomen, different symptoms occur, such as severe pain or reduced fertility.
On Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., those affected and interested will receive clear information on causes and treatment options in the online lecture "Endometriosis - What is it and what can be done about it?". The speakers will be Prof. Dr. Ingolf Juhasz-Böss, Medical Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of Freiburg, and Dr. Juliane Grimm, Senior Physician and Spokesperson for the Endometriosis Center. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and talk to the experts.
The event is part of the online seminar series "Wissen hilft" (Knowledge helps) organized by the Women's Health Center of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. Participation in the online lectures is free of charge. Registration is required.
