On Wednesday, October 20, the next lecture of the online event series "Knowledge helps" of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will take place

Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor disease in women. One in eight will develop it in her lifetime. At the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, patients receive the entire spectrum of oncological diagnostics as well as comprehensive interdisciplinary consultation and treatment. Depending on the type and stage of the breast cancer, the classic forms of treatment - surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy - can be accompanied or replaced by anti-hormonal or antibody therapies.

Affected and interested parties will receive comprehensive information in the online lecture "Current treatment options for breast cancer" on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6 pm to 7 pm. The speakers from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will be Medical Director Prof. Dr. Ingolf Juhasz-Böss and breast cancer expert Privatdozentin Dr. Thalia Erbes, Head of the Department of Senology.

The event is part of the online seminar series "Knowledge Helps" organized by the Women's Health Center of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg. Participation in the online lectures is free of charge. Registration is required.
