Visiting stop at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg

Hardship regulations possible in individual areas / Outpatient appointments take place

In light of the sharp rise in the number of coronavirus infections in the region, a ban on visiting the Medical Center - University of Freiburg at the Freiburg and Bad Krozingen sites is in place with immediate effect. This is intended to minimize the risk of infections entering the hospital. In exceptional cases, individual visits may take place (hardship regulations). This applies in particular to the intensive care units, the palliative care units, the pediatric clinic and obstetrics. Outpatient and inpatient appointments will continue to take place as planned and should definitely be attended. The blood donation center is also still open.

Accompanying patients to outpatients or inpatients appointments is only possible in exceptional medical cases. In exceptional cases, the 3G rule applies to visitors and accompanying persons. Children up to the age of 14 are considered tested. Patients and outpatients donating blood are exempt from the 3G rule.

FFP2 masks (or equivalent) must be worn throughout the hospital. If required, appropriate masks will be issued at the clinic entrances. Distancing and hygiene rules continue to apply throughout the hospital.
