From Monday, December 13, outpatients must be able to show proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative rapid antigen test

For outpatient visits to the Medical Center - University of Freiburg and Bad Krozingen, the 3-G rule will apply from Monday, 13 December 2021: Outpatients must present proof at the clinic entrance of

• a vaccination series against COVID-19 (first and second vaccination) that has been completed for at least 14 days or at least one vaccination after having been infected
• an infection with SARS-CoV-2 confirmed by PCR test (at least 28 days, maximum six months ago) or
• a negative rapid antigen test or PCR test (no self-test, not older than 24 hours).

Emergency patients are excluded. Children up to 14 years of age are considered tested. Inpatients are tested for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR test on admission and checked daily for symptoms.

Continue to keep appointments

Outpatient appointments generally take place as planned and should be kept. In the event of a postponement, patients will be notified specifically. Accompanying patients to outpatient appointments is only possible in exceptional medical cases. Children may be accompanied by one person. The 3 G rule also applies to the accompanying person.

Blood donation still possible

The blood donation center at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is also still open; blood donors do not need a 3-G certificate, but will be asked about symptoms and risk factors at the entrance.

Visiting ban continues to apply

The general ban on visiting the Medical Center - University of Freiburg remains in place. In exceptional cases, individual visits may take place (hardship regulations)

Wearing an FFP2 masks (or comparable) is mandatory throughout the hospital. If required, appropriate masks will be handed out at the clinic entrances. Distance and hygiene rules continue to apply throughout the hospital.
