The path between Hartmannstraße/Elsässer Straße and the Medical Center - University of Freiburg's Klinikpark will be closed for around two years from Monday, 9 May 2022 / Renovation work and construction of a ward block

Due to renovation and construction projects, the north-western access to the Medical Center - University of Freiburg's Klinikpark will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists for around two years from Monday, May 9, 2022. This affects the passageway between Klinikpark and Hartmannstraße and Elsässer Straße, which runs between the Medical Clinic and the Departments of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Ear, Nose and Throat and Pneumology.

The closure will initially be necessary from May to fall 2022 due to sewer work by the City of Freiburg. This will be followed by construction work for the interim new ward block at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, which will continue until 2024.

A detour for cyclists is signposted. These will be routed around Zentralklinikum via Breisacher Straße and Killianstraße. Pedestrians can reach the clinic park via the path along the Neurozentrum.

The bicycle parking spaces and parking spaces at the Medical Clinic cannot be used during the construction work. Visitors are requested to use the parking garage in Breisacher Straße, which is within walking distance.
