Warning strike at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg
Emergency care secured despite warning strikes
On Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28, 2022, ver.di has called on employees of the Medical Center - University of Freiburg to take part in an all-day warning strike.
An emergency service agreement has been concluded between the union and the Medical Center - University of Freiburg, which ensures that no patients are harmed. It also ensures that all emergency medical interventions, intensive care and urgent operations can take place. This also applies to care in obstetrics, oncology, pediatrics and the care of Covid patients.
There will be longer waiting times during the strike period. Patients should switch to other emergency departments on the two strike days if possible.
If planned surgery and outpatient appointments cannot take place, the Medical Center - University of Freiburg will inform the affected patients directly in good time.
The blood donation center will be very limited during the strike days. Donors are asked to reschedule their donation for another day. Both spontaneous and scheduled donations are affected (with the exception of platelet donations).
